About Us

Design-Build Remodeling Contractors

When you hire Stewart Construction, you don’t have to manage or worry about the details. We have designers who will guide your selections, project managers to keep the project on task, and an excellent crew with meticulous attention to detail. Everything you need, including up-front pricing you can count on.

Built on Experience. Driven by Craft.

Since 1989, Stewart Construction has been a trusted design-build remodeling contractor in Sebring, Florida, helping homeowners build, remodel, and maintain their homes with care and craftsmanship. As a family-owned business, we take pride in delivering projects that reflect both your vision and our commitment to quality.

The Stewart Difference

Other contractors provide low “bids” based on unrealistic job specifications to get the job, then pile on the “change orders” after you’ve signed the contract. That’s good for them, not so good for you.

At Stewart, a professional designer works with you to plan every detail — from floorplan to fixtures. Because we invest the time upfront, our pricing is clear and accurate. While unforeseen conditions can arise once walls are opened, our thorough planning process means you start with realistic numbers and fewer surprises.

Founder & Owner

Mark Stewart

For Mark, working with clients begins with listening. He focuses on understanding their vision, providing a detailed scope of work upfront, and keeping communication clear throughout the process. By staying on budget and eliminating guesswork, he ensures clients feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Over the decades, Mark has instilled lessons in the next generation that continue to shape the company today: that true craftsmanship lies in the details, and that pride in a job well done is non-negotiable. The values of honesty and doing the right thing remain at the heart of Stewart Construction, no matter the size of the project.

It feels wonderful to see the next generation step in—especially because I get to work alongside my son. Knowing he’ll take this business to new levels beyond where we are today is incredibly rewarding.

For over 35 years, we’ve served Sebring and Highlands County with projects that stand the test of time. Our roots in this community drive us to treat every home as if it were our own.

President & Co-Owner

Josh Stewart

Character matters. Who we are shapes how we act, how we lead, and how we serve our clients.

Some of Josh’s earliest memories of construction go back to 1991, when his parents bought the home they still live in today. At a young age, he watched his dad, alongside men from their church, level the house and work on the second-story siding with pump jack scaffolding. It was a labor of love—and an early glimpse into the reality that a contractor’s home is never truly “finished.”

Looking ahead, Josh is putting his own stamp on the business by leaning into what Stewart already does best—design and construction under one roof. For clients, that means one team, one vision, and a smoother process from the first sketch to the final walk-through. It’s about building spaces that aren’t just well-crafted, but also reflect each client’s style and the way they truly want to live.

The real magic is in our team.
Meet the people who make it all happen.

Everyone was patient and helpful in helping me plan my shower. Everything was left clean when working and finishing the job.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can't say enough great things about the team at Stewart. Starting with Julio and Justin that came in to do the demo and found treasures only an old house can provide, think 1970's fake parquet linoleum flooring. Johnny and Leo installed our beautiful new flooring and painted our old pink walls. Carl updated our very outdated cabinets. Jay fixed our ceilings to a more human sized height and installed a gorgeous, not DIY, backsplash. Duane came in for the touchups and installed new shelving. Chris kept us updated with pictures along the way and kept everything moving. Joel kept my husband calm (the biggest job of all) and kept an eye on everything while we were gone. To say they did a fantastic job is an understatement. I feel like we have a house that transformed from 1970's bad to 2020's perfect!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have used Stewart Construction for many projects (from ceiling fan installation to roofing). There is no job too big or too small. The latest completed project was a custom cabinet. The job was done in a timely manner, professionally installed by Julio and Jason. Work is always done in a neat and orderly manner followed by a thorough clean up afterward. We appreciate Mark and his team, very trustworthy and they will ensure it is always done to your satisfaction.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently obtained a quote which was middle price range of other local roofers. I chose this company because I have a soft place for honest and reliability of work to be performed. The cost appraiser was easy to communicate with, humble, and an overall of good character. He was worth a million dollars.

Upon removal of the old roof, there were some issues with lingering nails in my flowerbeds after a good breeze or Unsure if it was just missed by the magnet the subcontractor used or not. I personally won’t fault Stewart construction for that issue.

The work was timely, exceeded my expectations from beginning to end and even followed up with me to ensure my satisfaction. Which is really hard to do since I can be a “Karen”. I will absolutely be thinking of them for other homeowner remodels and/or home builds that I have in the future.
