Restoring Timeless Charm
On Sebring’s Lakeview Drive, we reimagined a classic 1940s home with a white kitchen remodel that balances charm and modern convenience. Preserving the home’s character was key, and by carefully addressing a few “old home problems,” we created a refreshed space that mirrors the kitchen the homeowners knew and loved—only updated for today’s lifestyle.
Preserving the Heart of the Home
We love the layout of this home—it’s not unusual for older houses to have smaller, more defined spaces, but here, the flow from room to room remains.
To avoid costly structural work and maintain the original hardwood flooring, we kept the island location intact. This decision allowed us to respect the home’s existing footprint while still delivering a fresh, functional space.
A Baker’s Dream
One of the homeowners’ top priorities was a dedicated baking station. We incorporated a built-in mixer stand lift, making it easy to access and store. Adjacent to it, ample cabinetry ensures every piece of bakeware has a place, creating an organized and efficient workspace.
Handmade Glass Tile Steals the Show
Sourced from California, the handmade glass backsplash adds a shimmering touch, elevating the crisp white design. This selection not only enhances the timeless aesthetic but also brings character to the space. Under-cabinet lighting, equipped with an auto-sensor feature, further enhances functionality and ambiance.
