Primary Bathroom Remodel
A calm, functional primary bathroom designed to make better use of a generous footprint, with clearly defined zones and an open, comfortable layout.
A Primary Bathroom Design for Everyday Use
Tucked within Sebring’s Golf Hammock neighborhood, this primary bathroom remodel transforms an outdated space into a calm, modern retreat.

Before We Started: The Wish List
Our clients wanted a bathroom that felt elevated and comfortable without unnecessary complexity. The wish list included:
- A layout that makes better use of the existing square footage
- A walk-in shower with a more generous footprint
- A private toilet compartment for added separation
- A dedicated vanity anteroom for getting ready each day

Before
A Large Space That Didn’t Fully Work
The original bathroom had plenty of square footage, but the layout didn’t take advantage of it. A separate closet interrupted the flow, the shower was limited in size, and the toilet sat in the open bathroom area. Despite the generous footprint, the room felt underutilized and less private than it could be.

After
A Spacious, Purposeful Layout That Uses Every Inch
By removing the closet, we were able to rework the entire layout to better suit the scale of the space. The shower was expanded into a larger, more comfortable footprint, and the toilet was moved into its own private room for added separation and function.

Design & Layout Solutions
A Light-Filled Bathroom Entry
Because the bathroom is accessed through an anteroom, a barn door made sense here—providing privacy without interrupting circulation. The result is a bathroom that feels open, intentional, and appropriately scaled, with each zone clearly defined and room to breathe.
Tucked Away Toilet Room
In the water closet, a concealed toilet tank is fully integrated into the wall framing, leaving only the flush controls exposed. This approach keeps the bathroom looking clean and modern while maintaining full functionality.

Dedicated Makeup Room
A dedicated makeup room (or otherwise known as an anteroom) adds both function and a sense of retreat to the primary suite. By carrying the same vanity and countertop into this space, the design maintains visual continuity while giving the homeowners a place that feels purpose-built for daily routines.
Materials & Finishes

Luxurious Walk-in Shower
Your eye is immediately drawn to the marble-look porcelain in the walk-in shower. The 24″ × 48″ polished tile delivers the elegance of onyx marble with the durability and easy care of porcelain—style without the fuss!

Coordinating Stone
Soft blue tones in the shower tile are echoed in the stone countertop at the vanity, where subtle blue veining ties the space together. Paired with crisp white cabinetry, the palette feels cohesive, calm, and intentionally layered.
Pet-Friendly by Design
Beyond aesthetics, the materials were chosen with everyday living in mind. The durable porcelain tile stands up well to pets and daily wear—and on warm Florida days, it even becomes a favorite cool resting spot for the homeowners’ dog.
The result is a space that feels elevated and cohesive—without a luxury-level budget. Ready to start your project? Learn more about bathroom remodeling!
