Open-Concept Remodel
What started as a traditional, segmented layout is now a showstopping open-concept kitchen and living space.
Opening up for the View
In a quaint home along Sebring’s Lakeview Drive, the main floor went from closed-off rooms to grand views. For these second-homeowners who spend their winters in Florida as snowbirds, the open-concept remodel transformed a traditional, segmented layout into a showstopping main level—complete with dual islands, a sleek modern fireplace, and expansive sightlines from the front door to the lake.
Before & After
Move the slider to reveal the transformation.
This was the first project we completed for the homeowners, and they came to us with a bold vision. They wanted to completely rework the main living area—removing partition walls to create a unified kitchen, dining, and living space.

Planning Open-Concept
We love open-concept living—but it has to be done well. Removing walls can leave you with too much space and too little structure. That’s where thoughtful layout makes all the difference.
Here, the double island configuration solves that beautifully. It keeps the space open without sacrificing storage or function—and maintains clean sight lines from the foyer to the backyard.

Impactful Lighting Design
Lighting plays a starring role. Accent lights are tucked under cabinets, along toe kicks, within the tray ceiling, and throughout the kitchen and living space, creating a layered, inviting glow at every hour of the day.

A striking Waterstone Endeavor Wheel Pull Down Faucet—a true centerpiece with its modern mono-spoke design and industrial-inspired wheel handle.

Two Sinks Are Better Than One
We love two sinks in the kitchen. The main sink anchors the space with sculptural impact, while the secondary prep sink makes multitasking a breeze without interrupting the main workspace.

A Standout Appliance Lineup
This kitchen is as hardworking as it is beautiful, outfitted with a suite of high-performance appliances:
- Miele coffee system offers café-style convenience at home.
- A single wall oven, convection oven, and steam oven provide versatile cooking options for everything from weeknight meals to holiday feasts.
- A Sub-Zero glass door refrigerator that puts ingredients on display while maintaining the clean lines.
Every appliance was carefully planned and precisely installed—some requiring extra plumbing and electrical work that had to be accurate down to the inch.
Before & After: Fireplace Transformation

We removed a dated corner fireplace and replaced it with a modern, wall-mounted model and a large picture window—adding both light and warmth to the space.
